Outdoor enthusiasts traditionally pursued careers in fish, wildlife, and forestry to work in wild places. But the modern naturalist no longer has time for the woods or water. Redundant documentation, business administration, and electronic communications now dominate the work week. It is likely that most of today's natural resource managers and researchers spend little time–if any–in the areas they hope to protect.
Coosa FWI engages in important natural resource issues in North America while preserving our heritage as hunters, anglers, foresters, and practical stewards of natural habitats. We prioritize hands-on experiences, valuing the knowledge gained from exploration throughout our own forests and rivers over thirdhand research on electronic devices. We enjoy science but cannot shake our true obsessions.
We specialize in supporting outdoor pursuits, including hiking and camping, boating and fishing, and shooting sports and hunting. We also manage natural resource monitoring and research, with comprehensive experience in evaluating fish, wildlife, and their habitats, with a focus on pragmatic and effective mitigation strategies. We operate under a limited office schedule for time outdoors as professional outfitters.
